The colors and flavors of the Southwest warms our hearts and whets our appetite.  This new recipe made with delicious antibiotic-free Respect™ Turkey Burgers is sure to delight your family.  If you are looking for a grilling recipe for entertaining, we recommend giving these a try!

Servings: 4 People
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large onion thinly sliced
  • 2 poblano peppers seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 4 Respect™ Turkey Burgers
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • lettuce or spinach leaves
  1. Heat a sauté pan over medium heat. Once hot pour in oil and let heat up.

  2. Add in garlic and onions. Let cook for about 5 minutes then toss in poblano peppers and season with salt, pepper and chili powder. Let cook for another 5 minutes.  

  3. Reduce temperature to low.

  4. Heat grill to medium-high. Lightly grease grates.

  5. Grill turkey burgers for 4:30 minutes per side.

  6. Add buns to the grill to toast.

  7. To create your southwest turkey burgers, add a layer of lettuce or spinach leaves to the bottom bun. Top with the burger then onions and peppers. Cover and enjoy!

  8. Additional topping ideas:  avocado slices, tomato slices and hot sauce.
